“Bust Out” Campaign
What do you do when you want to penetrate into a market that doesn’t know you exist? Longwood University established in 1839, is well known in their neck of the woods, Central Virginia. But now they wanted to reach students in the coveted Washington DC and Northern Virginia area. The “Bust Out From the Crowd” campaign was the perfect solution for students looking for a great education in a smaller community.
Salvage created transit takeovers on commuter trains in the DC area. It included teaser stories using eye catching headlines and graphics that directed the viewer to the website to learn more. We created a landing page just for the campaign so the user experience on the website was cohesive with what was in the market. Within the first month, we have served 1.4 Million total impressions, and delivered 6K clicks for an overall CTR of .42%. Our mobile ads are nearly 3 times the industry benchmark of .13%, and the Pre-Roll Salvage crafted specifically for Longwood University has exceeded benchmark by 14%.
